Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 4:00 PM

 Trading in Kansas has been very limited on very light demand. A few live sales
sold at 125.00 for 15-30 day delivery, per MPR. Trading in all other regions has
been at a standstill. Boxed beef cutout values firm on Choice and weak on Select 
on light to moderate demand and light offerings. Select and Choice rib, chuck, 
and round cuts steady to weak. Choice loin cuts higher while Select weak. Beef 
trimmings mostly moderately higher on moderate demand and light offerings. Choice
cutout is 0.33 higher at 223.76 and Select cutout is 0.51 lower at 213.97 with
a Choice/Select spread of 9.79. The hide and offal value from a typical slaughter 
steer for today was estimated at 11.87 per cwt live, unchanged when compared to 
Friday's value.
